Malaysia is a stunning and diverse country with numerous highlights. The countless regions, each with distinct characteristics, make this country an ideal tourist destination. Malaysia, on the other hand, is not entirely reliant on tourism. This country’s economy has been thriving for many years. Malaysia is not a third-world country, despite what some people (still) believe. When visiting the country, it is clear that it has grown tremendously in the last 50 years. There are many modern buildings, a modern light rail transit system, many luxurious shopping malls, and countless expensive cars on the roads, particularly in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Life is often less developed outside of the capital, but even there, the days of people only being able to afford a motorcycle are long gone.
Malaysia is an extraordinary country to discover, not least for its stunning contrasts. Dynamic cities range from the cosmopolitan capital, Kuala Lumpur, to historic urban centers with heritage-rich streets that witness the nation’s rich history.
Beyond that, spectacular and untamed natural beauty awaits. Vanilla-hued beaches fringed with coconut palms stretch along Malaysia’s never-ending coastlines. The warm azure seas are studded with tropical islands, including world-class beach destinations Langkawi, Penang, and Pangkor. Interiors range from rolling tea plantations and geoparks to mountain peaks and steamy prehistoric jungles. As one of the world’s top mega-biodiverse countries, Malaysia has a vast range of exotic flora and fauna, including many rare and endemic species.
Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and then transfer to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Depart from your city hotel and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the essential sights in Kuala Lumpur, such as historical monuments, heritage sites, and skyscrapers. Enjoy personalized attention and the option to tailor your itinerary to your specific interests.
Explore the central city to see Moorish architecture. First, photograph the King’s Palace, then drive past the National Museum and stop at the National Monument, which is dedicated to Malaysian soldiers who died fighting terrorists during the Emergency in the 1950s. Then proceed through Lake Gardens, past the National Mosque and the Railway Station. Next, visit Merdeka Square’s new central business district, and sample some local chocolates at the Chocolates Gallery. The last photo stop was at the Petronus Twin Towers. Return to the hotel after the tour for an overnight stay.
Genting Highlands has also earned the moniker “Las Vegas of Malaysia.” It is home to the country’s only land-based casino. In addition, a full-scale theme park can be found at the top of the mountain, and the government has officially designated it as The City of Entertainment.
Your driver will stop by Batu Caves on the way to the highlands. Batu Caves, one of Malaysia’s most popular tourist attractions, is a limestone hill with three significant caves and numerous smaller caves. The limestone formations in this 100-year-old cave network house Hindu shrines, making it an important religious landmark for Hindus. Other caves, such as the Art Gallery Cave and the Museum Cave, also house Hindu statues and paintings. Your ride will continue to Genting Skyway after your religious visit to Batu Caves. Next, ride Southeast Asia’s fastest and longest cable car, a great way to frighten and amaze the kids. On this ride, you can stop at any station, including Chin Swee Station. Next, hop off and visit the iconic nine-story Chin Swee Caves Temple to see the ‘blessing lamps.’ Devotees believe that these lamps, especially the dedicated ones, are blessed. After viewing the lamps, assist the children in climbing the Sky Terrace for a spectacular view of the 15-meter-high Buddha statue. Then, extend the fun by taking a ride back to Genting Highlands, where all the action is. Inside there are several theme parks and attractions, including Ripley’s Adventureland. Restaurants are also easily accessible, and the staff is extremely patient with hungry children. Return to your hotel after the tour. The rest of the day is free and easy. Spend the night in a hotel.
